Special Ingredients

2 teaspoons sodium lactate, 2 teaspoons fizzy lemonade colorant, and 1.6 oz. pink grapefruit fragrance oil.

Recipe

Add the sodium lactate to the cooled lye water mixture. Stir in the fragrance and colorant to the oil. Add the lye water to the oils and bring to a trace. Pour into rubber duck molds. Release the soap from the mold and let cure for 4 weeks before using.

Batch Notes

I created the silicone duck mold by casting a toy rubber duck in liquid silicone. I lowered the amount of coconut oil in this recipe to make a less astringent soap for children.
